Local authors will read Bookmarks for 4 on 4. | Literature

Join Winston-Salem Writers at Bookmarks on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. for 4-on-4. This free, in-person event gives attendees the chance to meet local authors and hear about their books. The theme for March is transformation.

Janice Broyles, volunteer speaker for the Salem Pregnancy Center and Kids Connect teacher, will read from her book The Road Back Home from Here. Frank Morelli, an American Fiction Award-winning young adult novelist, will read On the Way to Birdland. Freelance writer Hernan Mena Arana, voted one of Mexico’s top new short story writers in 2000, will read excerpts from his book Jefferson County. Samuel Newsome, Medical Director of the Stokes County Health Department, who won a Garcia Award and Best Contemporary Fiction from the Colorado Independent Publishers’ Association, will read from his novel Boy in the Treetops.

This Bookmarks and Winston-Salem Writers collaboration includes author readings followed by a book signing with books for sale by Bookmarks.
